Students learned about the importance of proper animal nutrition, how feed is mixed and prepared, ways to effectively market their 4-H projects, and the many career opportunities available in the animal feed industry!

One of our favorite Critter Camp traditions happened today! 🖐️💙

As our campers finish their week of hands-on learning at the farm, each student gets to place their handprint on the wall of our feed room stairs. We love telling them that they're "leaving their mark on the farm".

For many students, Critter Camp is just the beginning! After completing a week of training, campers become eligible to join our Critter Crew program, where they can return to the farm and work alongside our staff caring for animals and helping with daily farm tasks. Critter Crew members gain real-world experience, learn responsibility, build confidence, and continue their agricultural education through hands-on work around the farm.

Wednesday night, our mini horse Mabel gave birth to a baby boy! 🐴💙

This is a Critter Barn first, and we are so overjoyed to welcome this little guy to the farm. Mom and baby are doing great, and we just can’t get enough of the cuteness!

Now we need your help… we’re looking for name suggestions for our newest farm friend! What should we name this sweet little man that goes well with Mabel? Drop your ideas in the comments 👇

It’s always a joy to have these students from Holland Christian Schools here at the farm! 🐐🐖🐰

Students from Mrs. Bos’ kindergarten class get to visit Critter Barn every other week throughout the entire school year, experiencing life on the farm through all the different seasons. From snowy winter chores to springtime babies, these students have had the opportunity to learn hands-on about animals, farming, and where food comes from in a truly special way.

We loved celebrating all they’ve learned during their Celebration of Learning day alongside their families. Thank you to the students, teachers, and parents for such a fun year at the farm! ❤️

Critter Barn will be CLOSED on Memorial Day as we take time to honor and remember those who have served 🇺🇸

Starting June 1, we’ll begin our summer hours — that means we’ll now be OPEN on Mondays too! ☀️🐐🐄
