We want to say a very special thank you to our guest speakers Jim Po***ck from Junior Achievement and GHS graduate Nate Kehlmeier, Director of Business Development for Team Recovery for taking the time to inspire and encourage GHS students at the Career Fair yesterday.

Thank you to Buehrer Group and Zellner’s Research Solutions, LLC for helping sponsor breakfast and lunch for our guests.

Lastly, thank you to all of the professionals who gave of their time to spend the day helping to guide our high school students. It was a great day thanks to all of you!👏

Thanks to the Athletic Boosters working with us to help the GAC raise extra funds, we are able to offer 2- $50 gift cards per grade as prizes for filling out a Bingo sheet during the Career Fair today! Thank you Genoa Athletic Boosters!

Tomorrow is Career Fair Day at GHS! Take a few minutes tonight to talk with your high school student about their future plans. There are skilled trades apprenticeship coordinators, companies who may be hiring, healthcare, science and technology, business, and civil service professionals who will be available to answer questions. Over 100 community members will be at your child’s disposal to help guide their future, help us make the most of it!

☄️ Career Fair is Coming! ☄️

Friday, March 6th
Parents — we are excited to welcome 100+ career professionals to our upcoming Career Fair! Representatives from skilled trades unions, businesses, healthcare fields, science & technology careers, and civil services will be on hand to speak directly with our students about real-world careers and pathways.

This is a unique opportunity for your student to:
✨ Ask questions about careers they’re curious about
✨ Learn what education or training is required
✨ Discover options they may have never considered
✨ Practice professional communication skills

Before the event, we encourage you to take a few minutes to talk with your student:
• What careers interest you right now?
• What questions do you want to ask?
• Are there fields you’d like to explore more?

A little preparation can make a big difference in helping them take full advantage of this incredible experience. We are so grateful to the many professionals who are investing their time in our students — let’s help our kids make the most of it!

If you’re looking for a way to get involved with your child’s education, we’d love to have you come and be a part of the Genoa Academic Committee! It’s a great way to contribute to the academic success of Genoa students. This year we still have two big events to plan, the Career Fair and the Top 20 banquet, and we’d love to have more people involved. We’re also actively trying to help raise funds for robotics equipment for the classroom and a robotics team at the high school level.

Come and check out a meeting on Monday, January 12th at 6 PM in the high school library!
