Nebraska state colleges team up to help MS Forward Gym Grant project creates four new pieces of equipment to help MS patients

Every year, NSSIG holds an event called the PAC Fundraiser. This event is an opportunity for our chapter to raise money for the APTA’s Political Action Committee. The donations received each year allow NSSIG to help fund the campaigns of Nebraska lawmakers who actively support physical therapy and who work towards improving access to better quality and more affordable healthcare for the residents of Nebraska.

This year NSSIG will be holding a virtual fundraiser over Zoom. Dr. Jesse Elis, a physical therapist and the Director of Player Health and Performance for the NBA Portland Trail Blazers will be presenting on “A Day in the Life of a Sports Medicine Physical Therapist”. He has graciously volunteered his time to talk about his experience and answer any questions students may have about pursuing a career in professional sports.

There is a $5 donation requested to attend the presentation.
