🕵️State Nomination Update:

According to each state noimation program:

🔑Tasmania:

👉The Tasmanian Nominated Skilled Migration Program will reopen with updated requirements to general applications on 29 January 2021 at 1pm (AEDT).
👉Until this time interim program restrictions remain in place.
Tasmania has now received its full nomination quota for the 2020 – 21 program year. The full allocation is made up of:
Subclass 491 – 1400 places
Subclass 190 – 1000 places
Business migration – 45 places
👉Approximately 25% of skilled visa nomination places have been used.

🔑Western Australia:

Invitations to apply for the State Nominated Migration Program will resume in January 2021. The Western Australian State nomination criteria have been revised inline with State health and economic recovery priorities. The changes to the criteria are as follows.
👉Intending applicants must be currently residing in Australia to be invited and nominated.
👉Intending applications subject to a section 48 bar, are not eligible for State nomination.
👉If you are applying through the Graduate stream and due to COVID-19 you completed some of your Western Australian studies online (either onshore or offshore), you are now able to use this study toward the Western Australian study requirement.

🔑NT:

Onshore NT GSM nomination applications are now open
👉Onshore applications for Northern Territory nomination under the General Skilled Migration program can now be lodged through the online application system. Offshore applications remain closed while the national border restrictions stay in place.
👉Applicants must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria for nomination prior to applying. This criteria will be strictly applied.
👉There are still a number of applications that were lodged prior to program suspension that are awaiting assessment. In recognition of this, all applications will be assessed by date of submission, and those with imminent visa expiry dates will not be given priority processing.
👉Applicants should lodge their applications as soon as possible after meeting the eligibility criteria. Those who have visas expiring should seek professional advice on their visa options and ensure that they remain lawful during their stay in Australia.

🔑NSW:

NSW has now been provided our full allocation of nomination places for the 2020–21 financial year.
👉By Home Affairs direction, NSW will continue to focus on nominating applicants undertaking work in critical sectors. These applicants are a priority for Government to support economic recovery following the impacts of COVID-19.
👉Business and investor visas
NSW will begin accepting direct applications in early February 2021 for all Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188) streams, and the Business Talent (Permanent) visa (subclass 132) Significant Business History stream.
Applications for returning visa nominations continue as normal.
👉Skilled visas
Invitation rounds occur ongoing throughout the financial year. In line with Home Affairs' direction, NSW will only invite applicants in selected health, ICT and engineering occupations, and who currently reside in NSW.
👉For all visa subclasses, you do not need to submit a new EOI in SkillSelect if your current EOI remains valid.

🔑ACT:

Separate invitation rounds will be held for the 491 and 190 nomination streams. The highest ranked candidates in each stream will be invited to apply for ACT nomination. An invitation may not be issued if an occupation cap is met or the annual allocation of nomination places is met.
👉Only Matrix with a nominated occupation on the ACT Critical Skills List January 2021 will be selected and, if ranked, invited to apply for ACT nomination.
👉If your nominated occupation was removed from the ACT Critical Skills List January 2021, your Matrix will NOT be selected and will automatically lapse after six months.
👉457 / 482 visa holders who have a Matrix score of 60 plus points will be invited to apply for ACT nomination.

🔑Victoria:

Victorian skilled visa nomination allows those already living and working in Victoria to continue supporting Victoria's economic recovery and health response to the coronavirus pandemic.
To be selected to apply for Victorian skilled visa nomination and assessment, you must first make or update an EOI via SkillSelect and then submit a Registration of Interest for Victorian State Visa Nomination.
We are currently targeting professionals with skills that support Victoria's economic recovery and health response to the coronavirus pandemic.

🔑South Australia:

South Australia has been provided with our full State Nomination allocations by the Department of Home Affairs.
Our focus will continue to be driving economic growth and job creation for the state through the Migration Program and supporting businesses to acquire the skills they need throughout the State’s economic recovery.
We are continuing to invite and assess applicants through the current EOI and ITA process until further notice with details on any changes to program requirements being published in due course.
