Upod kita magkat-on mananom ig Sabado, August 8 sang hapon para sa aton garden sa Mayâ. Magsturyahanay lat kita sang mga tanom kag anhon pagtanom sa klase klase nga duta. Updan kita sang aton mga kuya kag ate sang GoodLand/Bihiya kag sang El Mundo. 🍠

Open and free ini sa tanan. Please bring extra shirt, hat, drinking water kag kung aray gardening tools. Snacks will be provided 🌱

Save Carbon Market! 🥑🍠🧄🌸

We had a creative and meaningful weekend with Bb Project Café Baklita (FKA Barefoot Baklita) and many more friends! We made art, read stories and listen to each other on how we value our experiences with Carbon public market over the years.

We are in solidarity to save our very own Carbon market in Cebu from the threat of privatization and a redevelopment that prioritizes commercial interests rather than the needs of existing vendors, workers and residents.

A public market is more than a commercial space. It supports affordable food for everyone, farmers, vendors and market workers, Cebu’s living heritage and culture, and everyday relationships between communities and consumers.

Why is this important for us as Bantayanons? Bulk of our sustenance (fruits, veggies, other food and non-food products) come from Carbon public market, also, products from the island are sold at the Carbon public market. We share a very vital trade relationship over the decades. This relationship is worth protecting.

We stand with a people-centered development. When we protect public markets, we protect livelihood, food security, and the right to accessible public spaces.

Magkat-on kita sang basic handbuilding ig July 11, 1:30-4:30pm upod aton invited artist from Dumaguete Mikoo Cataylo Mikoo Cataylo of Ceramic. All materials and firing included. This is open to all ages; children may have 1 accompanying adult. Message us to reserve a slot. See you 🫶🏻

(For works done last February, Mikoo will be firing the works during his visit. You may claim your works afterwards.)
