Society of Petroleum Engineers ITB Students Chapter Bandung Institute of Technology SPE Student Chapter (SPE SC ITB) is the first SC in Indonesia. SPE SC ITB gives members access to professional society.

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a not-for-profit professional organization whose mission is to collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources and related technologies for the public benefit and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence. Each st

udent chapter is affiliated with an SPE section, allowing students to interact with practicing professionals and benefit from technology discussions at section meetings. The vision of Bandung Institute of Technology SPE Student Chapter is to establish an engaging and collaborative organization that provides learning opportunities concerning technical and professional competence to advance the upstream oil and gas industries for the greater good of community.

[PetroSPEhere 1.0]
Extracting gas from the deep ocean isn’t just about drilling; it’s a massive offshore engineering challenge. Instead of building from scratch for every discovery, modern developments—like Eni’s East Kalimantan project—use a smart network of subsea systems. By deploying subsea tie-backs, multiple wells can be connected directly to floating production units like FPUs or FPSOs at the surface. This means less duplicated
infrastructure, lower capital costs, and a much faster time to first production. ⚓🫧
