Registration now open! Exclusive screening of "The Guy with the Knife" documentary about convicted "gay hate crime" murderer Jon Buice on Thursday, Nov. 5th at The LBJ School of Public Affairs. Following screening will be panel discussion with film director Alison Armstrong, Jim Buice (father of the subject of the film), and Houston LGBT Activists, moderated by CHASP faculty associate and justice expert Michele Deitch. Co-sponsored by CHASP, the William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law at the UT Law School, and the LBJ School’s Harvey Milk Society.

Greetings HMS!
Our next meeting is on Tuesday, September 29 from 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm in SRH 3.316/3.350.
At the meeting we will introduce our two new Interim Co-Chairs. We will also be discussing our upcoming events for the semester and everyone will have a chance to volunteer according to their interests.

Greetings HMS!
I hope everyone has been having a great start to their semester. In order to plan our meetings for the rest of the semester I am sharing the following Doodle poll with you.

We will be meeting every other week throughout the semester. Pick whichever one hour slot suits you throughout the week.The meetings help guide upcoming events, future planning and steer the direction that HMS moves in.
I would like for people to be able to make it to every meeting just so that they are in the loop. Having said that, I expect people to not always be available for each meeting but the Doodle poll will help us avoid any recurring class/ work conflicts.

The Harvey Milk Society will hold its first meeting of the semester on Thursday, September 3 from 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm in SRH 3.312/3.360. Those members who have a class conflict at 6:00 pm can leave early.
We will introduce ourselves and talk about our plans for upcoming events this semester. I will also provide information about other resources and groups on campus. Light snacks will be provided. Please come with all your ideas and enthusiasm! Afterwards we will all head out together to the Student Life Pool Party at Gregory Gym.
