In line with the celebration of the University of Mindanao's 80th Founding Anniversary, the Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel of Team North Fed Gray, composed of UM Panabo College, UM Ilang High School, and UM Peñaplata College, gathered to participate in the UM Sportsfest 2026 Finals. United by camaraderie, teamwork, and the spirit of healthy competition, the delegation showcased not only their athletic talents but also the strong sense of unity that defines the University of Mindanao community.

The event was made even more meaningful through the unwavering support and leadership of the branch directors, Dr. Celso L. Tagadiad and Dr. Marlon D. Montaño, whose encouragement inspired the team throughout the competition. More than a showcase of sportsmanship, the Sportsfest Finals served as a celebration of collaboration, resilience, and excellence—values that continue to strengthen the University of Mindanao as it commemorates eight decades of transformative education and service.

Happening today, July 9, 2026, the employees of UM Panabo College, including both faculty members and administrative personnel, are participating in the seminar "Emotional Quotient at Work: Building Resilience and Mental Wellness."

This timely and meaningful seminar aims to strengthen participants' emotional intelligence by fostering self-awareness, empathy, resilience, and effective stress management in the workplace. Through insightful discussions and practical strategies, the program empowers employees to cultivate positive relationships, adapt to challenges, and promote a healthy work environment that supports both personal well-being and professional excellence.

Last June 30, 2026, UM Panabo College proudly received the 2026 Progressive Research Office (Branch) award, recognizing the institution's unwavering commitment to advancing research, innovation, and academic excellence. In the same event, Dr. Amelie L. Chico was honored as the 2026 Outstanding Researcher for her remarkable contributions to research and scholarly work.

These prestigious recognitions were conferred during LUMINA 2026: Joint Research Conference on Economy, Enterprise, Social Welfare and Human Development held at the University of Mindanao – Main Campus. The awards reflect the dedication, passion, and collaborative efforts of the researchers in producing quality research that contributes to community development and nation-building.

UM Panabo College remains steadfast in fostering a strong research culture, empowering educators and students to pursue meaningful and impactful studies that address real-world challenges. Last June 30, 2026, UM Panabo College proudly celebrated its 75th Founding Anniversary, marking seven and a half decades of excellence, innovation, and unwavering commitment to quality education.

The celebration honored the institution's remarkable journey by recognizing outstanding achievements, producing topnotchers, and paying tribute to employees whose years of dedicated service have helped shape the University's legacy. The festivities were made even more memorable through exciting dance battle competitions, raffle draws, and a spirit of unity that brought together the entire UM Panabo College community.
