Kaleidoscope is a non-profit enrichment program that offers varied educational and cultural opportunities to children in the Merrimack Valley and beyond. For the forty-first summer, Kaleidoscope will offer one-week courses, where students are immersed in the subject(s) of their choice.

Sue Gardner was one of Kaleidoscope’s most beloved teachers, and her love of children and learning touched countless lives. Her connection to Kaleidoscope continues through her daughter and grandchildren, who have also been part of our program. Their family means so much to Kaleidoscope.

Kaleidoscope’s very own Jedis are back! Are you a “Star Wars” fan? Spend an adventurous week at our Jedi training camp. Make your own costume. Create a lightsaber from a pool noodle. Conquer an obstacle course, travel to a galaxy far, far away, and make pit stops at several planets. Create replicas of those planets using shaving cream and food coloring. Defeat the Sith in a game using Nerf balls. ✨⚔️🛸🌌🪐🎨💥

Last summer, my daughter took this class and absolutely loved it. She came home every day excited to tell us about the stories, the characters, and what she created. The projects were the kind you don’t just recycle at the end of the week… they’re the keepsake, high-quality pieces you tuck away because they hold real meaning and memories. We loved the experience so much that we added Bookalicious 2, so she can return this summer with brand-new stories and fresh projects while still enjoying her favorite authors.

Enter the magical world of Children’s Literature through crafts, songs, and activities that bring noteworthy authors to life! Interact with books by Kevin Henkes, Eric Carle, Mo Willems, and Nicola Davies and learn to have grand conversations about unforgettable characters! Design a flipbook. Sculpt mini Piggies. Have a Piggie party. Create your own disguise. Experience all the magic a story can bring. This course is offered in the AM and PM of Session II. Stories covered in Bookalicious 2 (PM) are completely different, but by the same authors. Children can take one or both classes.

Are you a LEGO lover? Join other LEGO enthusiasts and spend the week exploring Kaleidoscope’s LEGO Land. Learn about all of the LEGO elements. Develop creativity, problem solving, concentration, and teamwork skills as you build, play, and use your imagination. Work alone, in pairs, and in small groups to create unique projects.
