We want you to join us for our Torito Spring 2026 Kick-off event! π«΅
The Torito Team Kick-off event will give you a unique chance to look inside one of SOAR's most advanced and ambitious programs. Torito is our liquid propulsion team, focused on the end-to-end development of liquid-fueled rocket systems. Unlike solid motors, liquid propulsion introduces real-world engineering challenges such as fluid systems, valves, injectors, ignition, controls, and safety-critical operations. These challenges combined make Torito a highly hands-on and technically rigourous experience.
During the Kick-off, you can expect to hear about what liquid propulsion really entails, the structure of our Torito subteams (propulsion, structures, avionics, fluids, testing, and safety), and our goals for the upcoming build and test campaign. Whether you are interested in propulsion, mechanical design, data analysis, or systems engineering - this meeting is a great opportunity for you to learn about SOAR's Torito project and how you can get involved. We hope to see you there!

We want you to join us for our IREC Spring 2026 Kick-off event! π«΅
SOAR is currently in the stages of preparing our full-scale competition rocket, Aurora, to compete in the International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC). We are currently striving for a full-scale test in February to validate our propulsion, avionics, recovery, and flight dynamics so the design can be refined before the official IREC competition in July. During our event, we'll break down our team structure, subsystem responsibilities, and the milestones that will carry Aurora from her first test flight to competition readiness. We hope to see you there!

Torito Milestone Alert! π
Recently, our Torito subteam was able to complete their first ever cold flow test. This is a huge first step to verify hardware setup, test our propellant delivery system, and analyze how fluids behave in certain components before we use actual propellant.
History is being made at the Society of Aeronautics and Rocketry! If you want to be a part of our next milestone, it's not too late to join. Make sure to hop on our Discord to find out how you can make an impact!
