Today’s crush is Bernice Ama Ahiadormey.

She is a member of the graduating MBChB 2020 class. She's been MBChB 2020’s Class Representative since first year and has was the SRC Editorial Committee Sub Editor (2017/2018) and CMF Music Director.

On motivation, Bernice says "I'm motivated by the fact that I have a purpose and I don’t want to stop till I fulfill it."

About what is unique about studying medicine in UHAS, she says “despite the fact that UHAS is a relatively new university, it’s still an incredible place to learn and grow with the backing of a fast-growing array of resources and opportunities, and an exceptional academic community to learn from”.

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, a chance to raise awareness about how women can protect themselves from HPV (human papillomavirus) and cervical cancer.

Two tests help find cervical cancer early—

The Pap smear looks for precancers, which are cell changes on the cervix that might become cervical cancer if they are not treated appropriately.

The human papillomavirus (HPV) test looks for the virus that can cause these cell changes.
