The University Toastmasters Club was happy to welcome back a long-time member, Bingdong Li, back to the club today! Bing currently works for the Nevada System of Higher Education and, at his first meeting back as a member of the University Toastmasters Club, he gave a presentation regarding some of the exciting work that he does as the current Interim Chief Information Security Officer for the Nevada System of Higher Education. Another great weekly meeting of the University Toastmasters Club! Today's meeting featured two speakers, including Jill Berner's speech regarding the national parks and Linda Bedell's speech about implicit bias. We also had three table topic speakers and two evaluators. Jill Berner earned Best Speaker, Frederick Steinmann earned Best Table Topics Speaker, and John Davis earned Best Evaluator!
Please join us for uur next meeting, scheduled for next Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in Room 356 at the Joe Crowley Student Union on the main campus of the University of Nevada, Reno. Next Wednesday's meeting will start at 12:05pm and end at 1:00pm.

A fun day at the weekly meeting of the University Toastmasters Club! Today's meeting featured a prepare speech/presentation, titled "Giving Feedback", from Sonia Heckler and seven different Table Topics speakers. At the end of today's meeting, Linda Bedell presented John Davis with an Appreciate Award for his support of Linda's term as Area 14 Director in 2017 and 2018.
Sonia Heckler earned Best Speaker, Frederick Steinmann earned Best Evaluator and Kathy King earned Best Table Topics Speaker!

Another Wednesday, another great weekly meeting of the University Toastmasters Club! Today's meeting featured a speech from Jill Berner, Club President, titled "Jai Alai: The World's Fastest Game" followed by a round of excellent table topics with the theme 'future ideas'. Frederick Steinmann wrapped up the meeting with an evaluation of Jill's speech. Sonia Heckler earned Best Table Topics Speaker honors and Frederick earned Best Evaluator honors.
