Here are some highlights from the Diplomatic Briefing hosted by EMGS with representatives from Central Asia, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Türkiye.

The briefing explored opportunities to strengthen student mobility and academic collaboration while highlighting the upcoming Malaysia-Central Asia Higher Education Forum 2026 (MAHEF2026) in Kazakhstan.

, led by Datuk Ahmad Shalimin Bin Ahmad Shaffie (EMGS Chairman), Mr. Novie Tajuddin (EMGS CEO) made a courtesy call to His Excellency Dato’ Indera Dr. Azfar Mohamad Mustafar, High Commissioner of Malaysia to the United Kingdom.

The meeting was also attended by representatives from Education Malaysia London, Hasrul Husni (Education Attaché), Iqbal Ismat Nordin (Education Attaché) and other EMGS representatives with discussions focusing on strengthening collaboration and advancing Malaysia’s higher education agenda, particularly in promoting Malaysia as a preferred destination for international students.

BRINGING HIGHER EDUCATION CLOSER TO THE COMMUNITY

Building stronger community ties to bring Malaysian higher education closer to students and families in Ireland.

The , led by Datuk Ahmad Shalimin Ahmad Shaffie (EMGS Chairman), joined H.E. Sharon Ho (Ambassador of Malaysia to Ireland) for an engagement with community leaders in Dublin, providing a platform for direct dialogue on Malaysia’s higher education opportunities and strengthening connections with the community on the ground. Also present were Mrs. Intan Nadia (Counsellor), Mr. Ahmad Mustafa Kamal (Education Attaché, Education Malaysia London) and other EMGS representatives.

The engagement forms part of continued efforts to strengthen Malaysia’s education presence internationally through closer collaboration with communities abroad.
