A partnership forged at the intersection of design and industry.

SoFA Design Institute and the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines (CFIP) formalized their collaboration through a ceremonial MOU signing on May 7, 2026 - held at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center alongside the 1st Philippine Woodmac 2026, the Philippine Wood Expo & Conference 2026, and the National Furniture Industry Congress 2026.

This agreement opens a new chapter for SoFA students and faculty - connecting design education with the craftsmanship, technology, and global market ambitions of the Philippine furniture industry.

SoFA Design Institute is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines (CFIP) - a milestone that formally bridges Philippine design education with the country's furniture manufacturing sector.

The ceremonial signing took place on May 7, 2026, at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales - in the context of three landmark industry events held simultaneously: the 1st Philippine Woodmac 2026, the Philippine Wood Expo & Conference 2026, and the National Furniture Industry Congress 2026.

The partnership signals SoFA's commitment to connecting its Interior Design and Fashion Design programs with the industries that shape the built and material environment - opening pathways for curriculum enrichment, industry immersion, and collaborative design advocacy.

We are grateful to CFIP and all attending government, private sector, and international stakeholders who witnessed this commitment. This is design education meeting industry where it matters most.
