Oregon Lacrosse alumnae and former roommates Mara Zajac and Alma Nye competed for the Latvia Women’s National Team at the 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship Division II in Wroclaw, Poland. 🌎

The Ducks duo scored seven goals apiece and combined for 20 points in seven games while dominating the draw circle. Mara led Latvia with 35 draw controls, while Alma finished second on the team with 28 as Latvia earned an eighth-place finish. 🇱🇻

Our Ducks made their mark on the world stage at the 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship in Tokyo.

With eight goals and two assists in six matches, Bri Carrasquillo helped lead Puerto Rico to an eighth-place finish, the nation’s best result in World Lacrosse Championship history.

Lexi Jenkins was a key contributor on the defensive end for Canada’s silver medal-winning team, appearing in every match while recording an assist, five ground balls, a caused turnover and one draw control.

Assistant coach Carolyn Carrera captained the Philippines in its historic run, leading the nation to its first-ever World Championship victory and a program-best 10th-place finish. She finished with seven caused turnovers and 10 ground balls.
