The Central Counseling Society hosts a variety of events, including annual Meet & Greets, Practicum/Internship Orientations, QPR Trainings, and Graduation Celebration. We collaborate with other societies to sponsor Resume Building Workshops, Career Panels, and Faculty Appreciation events. The Central Counseling Society hopes to expand to this list of events by adding a Mindfulness Seminar and other professional development opportunities. The Central Counseling Society has a Mentor/Mentee Fellowship that allows graduate students to communicate with fellow graduates to receive support and information. Did you know National School Counseling Week (NSCW) is the first week in February?! This year, the week of Feb 4-8th we’ll be celebrating the over 100k School Counselors who work hard year round, to make a difference in the lives of our students!

“According to the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), NCSW highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. The celebration is always the first week of February and is fortunately organized by ASCA to celebrate the work of 100K School Counselors efforts, hard work and dedication.”
