Tēnā koutou te kura o Matauri Bay, arā te poari, te tumuaki, ngā mātua, ngā kaiako me ngā tamariki. He mihi nei ki a koutou e pou kaha ana kia whai ai te mātauranga mō ō koutou tamariki mokopuna. Matauri Bay School is a small coastal school catering to 87 children in years 1 - 8. Our tamariki come from the surrounding communities including, Whangaroa, Kaeo, Tauranga bay, Takou bay, Wainui, Te Ngae

re and Kerikeri. The school is set in a world class location near Kauri Cliffs Lodge, the Rainbow Warrior resting place and watching over the stunning Cavalli Islands. We take pride in delivering a 21st century bilingual education in a caring and welcoming environment, and we value respect and whakawhanaungatanaga throughout our learning community.

Nau mai, hoki mai!

Welcome back to all our tamariki, whānau, and staff for Term 3. We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and is ready for another great term.

Today we welcomed two new staff members to our kura with a pōwhiri.

Nau mai, haere mai Whaea Nita, who will be teaching in Tai Roa for the rest of the year.

Nau mai, haere mai Whaea Max, our new Learning Support Coordinator.
