DU Music was founded in 1953 and has, since then, provided Trinity with the best musical resources and a vibrant and open place to share ideas and develop a real love for all genres of music.

// WHAT WE DO //
- Our WEEKLY COFFEE HOURS during term time offer conversation, snacks, and access to our extensive MUSICAL LIBRARY. Suggested themes are welcome, and in the past we have done "women in the music industry" and "paganism and music". Let us know if you have an idea!
- We host regular OPEN MIC NIGHTS in local pubs, and for the more instrumental / classically inclined, we host OPEN RECITALS in the Boydell Lecture Theatre on campus (refreshments provided)
- In collaboration with other societies, we also hold our annual esteemed WINTER SHOWCASE, MULTICULTURAL SHOWCASE, SINGER-SONGWRITER COMPETITION and, of course, Trinity's very own BATTLE OF THE BANDS.
- We also invite GUESTS to speak to us and our members, and to receive our Honorary Patronage - past honorees include Pixies, Junior Brother, Lisa Hannigan and Nialler9
- Our resources are also at your disposal. You must be a member to avail of this, and there's a weekly time sheet sent out for you book an hour.
- Our weekly email also features a "Members' Corner" where you can put out a request for jam buddies, buy and sell instruments, advertise your fire mixtape or simply seek the communal wisdom of hundreds of Trinity's more musically-minded souls. DU Music is always looking for ways to promote music within Trinity, and welcomes suggestions! Pop along to our [ZOOM] events to get involved - we'll see you there!
