UNH Gen UN UNH Gen UN is a collegiate chapter of the United Nations Association of the United States of America

UNH Gen UN is a collegiate chapter of the United Nations Association of the United States of America. The organization serves as an ambassador of the United Nations to the University of New Hampshire and the surrounding community and will work to educate the Durham populace about the vital work of the United Nations and advocate to elected representatives about the importance of a strong UN- US relationship.

The UNH Model United Nations team is preparing again for the National Model United Nations conference in New York City. Last year, the team won Honorable Mention for their representation of Kazakhstan and Sweden and will have the opportunity to represent the Republic of Turkey at the upcoming conference in March. Meet our President, Carolyn D’Olympio! Carolyn is a member of the Model UN team and a founding member of the UNH chapter of GenUN! “I was first introduced to GenUN by my friend, Crystal, who I knew through Model UN. After attending leadership camp with her and being prompted to really search ourselves for what it is we want to stand for in this world, Crystal and I decided to take action and begin a GenUN chapter at UNH. Our hopes for starting a chapter at UNH are to inform people about the value of the United Nations, communicate with state representatives about the issues we care about, and bring the work of the United Nations to our own campus and community in a very real and tangible way.” Thank you for all that you have done to bring awareness and action to UNH!
