Virginia's Club Field Hockey team provides a highly competitive level of play for both males and females, while requiring a lesser commitment than varsity.
The aim of this sport is to foster a team atmosphere while promoting the sport of field hockey at the University of Virginia. The team travels regularly to various colleges and universities along the east coast for tournaments and games, participates in various fundraising activities, as well as bonding and social events. Due to the most recent UVA COVID restrictions, tryouts will be postponed!! We will send out an email to all the girls on our list when we have the new tryout dates. SPRING TRYOUTS ARE ON!!!!🚨🚨🚨🚨 Here is a list of some covid modifications that will be in effect this year! If you did not bring your gear with you DONT WORRY! We will have some extra stuff (sticks, shinguards, etc) for people to use. DM us if you are interested in coming out and have not been added to the email list!! MEET EXEC! our hardworking smartie pants: Allie! Allie is a fourth year and serves as our treasurer. Allie’s favorite thing about field hockey is “it requires a lot of individual responsibility and discipline, to show up to practice and work hard, but you always have your team there to motivate and challenge you.”

MEET EXEC! our little giant who’s always laughing at something: Jocelyn! Jocelyn is a second year and serves as our secretary. When we asked her what her favorite thing about field hockey is she so wisely replied, “I love how I can continue to play the sport I love through my college years. Our team is competitive and truly cares about winning—yet we also know how to balance our time competing with social events that facilitate good friendships. Club field hockey is one of the best parts of my college experience!”

MEET EXEC! our beautiful inside and out social butterflies: Seara and Sydney! Seara is a third year and Sydney is a second year and both serve as our social chairs. Quoting Seara, “field hockey forged lifetime friendships and essential college teammates.” Sydney mirrors that and says her favorite thing about field hockey is “having some of my best friends on the team and being competitive while still being able to have so much fun.”
