Savannah Honor Academy Savannah Honor Academy was a small independent school in Savannah, GA, that closed its doors in 2023. It was a wonderful journey.

Savannah Honor Academy is a small independent school in the midtown area with the following features:

• Small class-size (12 students in each class)
• Mixed-age classes (K-2 & 3-5)
• Private ($9500/year with scholarship opportunities)
• Home-like environment
• Emphasis on inquiry, exploration, & critical thinking
• Meaningful assessment

Ten years ago, I believed I could start a school where kids could learn, have fun, and be inspired to make the world a better place…and I did! But I didn’t do it alone.

Thank you to every family who believed in me, supported me, and trusted me to make the big decisions. Thank you to our amazing Board members who helped steer our course. Thank you to Sarah Cantrell and Kellie Loftin for being true teaching partners and always putting the kids first. And thank you to the JEA for taking a chance on a teacher with a dream.

And kids, you are my legacy. Now kiss your brains and go change the world!

Thank you so much to the Rosenast family for helping us put this fun project together! We dyed eggs, filled them with wildflower seed, and covered them with tissue! We are going to use them today at our egg toss and hunt and we are so excited!
