2010-2025
Dear Friends, Community & Family 🧡
After 15 incredible years, I have decided to close The Montessori Clubhouse. This decision has not come easily, but… an opportunity has come along & I feel it is the right one for me. Your support has been a tremendous source of strength for me, especially during some of the most challenging periods in my life. Throughout these years, I have had the privilege of meeting over 200 wonderful children, each of whom will always hold a special place in my heart. They have made me laugh, cry, and in moments when I needed it most, threw their arms around me with a kindness I will always cherish.
I owe many thanks, & first on that list is Brigid. She has been by my side for what seems like an eternity, she has been & is invaluable to me. We worked through the panic of the pandemic & faced heartbreaking losses over the years, and also many joys. These experiences have created an unbreakable bond & I am eternally grateful for the friendship and resilience we’ve built together.🩷 Thank you also to our dear friend Melissa, always there to give a helping hand when needed & also our beautiful Ella, who will make a fantastic Early Years teacher in the future!
To our most wonderful Santa & Mrs. Claus, you are both sincerely two of the most fantastic and kind hearted people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, I am so grateful to you both for bringing magic to our classroom.
I also want to express my gratitude to our dedicated preschool inspector, Kara, whose unwavering support has been incredible. Her encouragement and belief in me & my service have made a lasting impact, & in no small way given me the courage to embrace new opportunities 🥹.
To all of the children who have passed through my doors over the past 15 years, including the fabulous children I’ve had for July provision, I want to say a huge thank you! Thank you for all the little waves, visits & the boundless energy you have brought into my life (I don’t think I’ve sat down since 2010)! Thank you to the parents, many of whom I am now very lucky to call my friends.
To my very first class of 2010...(some currently in the middle their leaving cert), I wish you all the very best & I hope you all, always strive to be the best version of yourself, no matter what!
I was very lucky to have my own little man, Lj, with me for 3 years & my niece Hannah for 2.. (she practically ran the place for us, I knew then, it was time to start thinking about retirement 🫣 )! Watching them start primary school was bittersweet for me, as it will be again when I watch Lj start secondary school this September! I cannot describe how special it has been, having them both ‘in work’ with me! 🥹 Of course I also owe thanks to my own ‘Ma’/ ‘Lj’s Nannie as the kids call her… & to my brothers for their continued support.
Lastly, to my class of 2025, my last group of children….we will enjoy every minute of our last day in preschool & I have no doubt that you will all go on to do great things!
As I prepare to close this chapter, I want you ALL to know that I am thankful for every precious moment you all, as a community, have brought me. The memories created will forever be a part of me, and I will carry them with me always. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart to you all, for everything 🥹🥰🫶🏻
Is mise le meas, Arlene ……… (P.S. Uíbh Fhailí abú!)💚🤍💛
