Solidifying her role in Asia’s debate pool, MIDV proudly congratulates Zhea Sanchez on yet another outstanding performance as an 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐝𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 and the 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞 at the Asian Online Debate Championship 2026, held from June 5-7, 2026.

Competing alongside 77 adjudicators and 115 teams from 12 nations, Sanchez rose as the 𝐔𝟏𝟒 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 and 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥, amplifying the attitude of “choosing to matter” on the global stage.

The MSU-IIT Debate Varsity (MIDV) invites the entire MSU-IIT student body to witness the 𝐊𝐀𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐀 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞 𝐀𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀.𝐘. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕.

As the culmination of the election campaign period, the 𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞 𝐀𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 provides students with an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates regarding their plans, advocacies, and vision for the student body. More importantly, it allows students to evaluate how candidates respond to critical questions and address the concerns of the community they aspire to serve.

NOTE: The Miting de Avance is the culmination of the election campaign period, not a meet-and-greet session. While it provides an important opportunity to evaluate candidates and their platforms, it should not be the sole basis for assessing them. Rather, it serves as a final venue for students to hear, question, and critically examine the candidates’ positions before casting their votes.

The MSU-IIT Debate Varsity proudly congratulates alumnus 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲 𝐃. 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐳, together with his peers Engr. Rodric C. Luceño and Engr. Edison Limbaga, for securing 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 at the Swiss Innovation Prize Competition 2026, held on May 19-21 at Somerset Valero, Makati City. This prestigious competition was organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in the Philippines in partnership with the Swiss Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.

MIDV, in a composite team with Lizzy Kong, warmly congratulates Zhea Sanchez for an outstanding performance as 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 at the NHSDLC BP Spring Open 2026, held last May 23–24, 2026, via Zoom. The tournament was successfully hosted by the National High School Debate League of China.

Clinching the coveted Overall Best Speaker award, Zhea Sanchez shared the glory with Lizzy Kong, who correspondingly earned the title of 7th Best Open Speaker and 4th Best Schools Speaker.

The tournament had a remarkable conclusion, with Zhea Sanchez hailing as the FBS and OBS, as well as Lizzy Kong claiming the 9th Best Open Speaker, 3rd Best Novice Speaker, and 2nd Best Schools Speaker, and Cynthia Vu bagging the 2nd Best Open Speaker, Overall Best Novice Speaker, and Overall Best Schools Speaker.
