Here’s a little dive into Check in Day-2🎉! In a way to welcome all new students, DVC leaders😎, and community partners gave a speech, and student club representatives were present. Multiple topics that would help students to have a successful college life 🤔 were also covered. Whether it was in academics 📚 , or to fit in the new community 🤝, nothing was left out. Some lucky students even won raffles🎁!!

We are excited to invite you to our Travel Signature and Transfer Thursday event this Thursday, December 5th, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM in the ISO office (SSC 264).
Come warm up with a cup of hot cocoa and take care of your travel signatures for winter break. This is also a great opportunity to ask any questions you might have about transferring out. Whether you’re planning to travel soon or considering a transfer, we’re here to help!

The online application for the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is now open. This highly selective national scholarship for community college students provides recipients with up to $55,000 per year to pursue a bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year college or university. The deadline for all application materials is January 9, 2025, and the eligibility criteria for this scholarship is as follows.
• Sophomore Status - Be a current student at an accredited U.S. community college or two-year institution with sophomore status, or a recent graduate (within the last five years).
• Fall College Enrollment - Plan to enroll full time in a baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university in Fall 2025.
• GPA - Have a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent).
• Financial Need - Demonstrate financial need.
• No previous attendance at a four-year institution - Students who have attended a four-year institution in the past are not eligible for this scholarship.
