We've received some great submissions for the On My Own Time art show, and it is now on display on the second floor in the library. The show will be available in the scholar's den from June 1st through the 26th. Come check out art created by Upstate folks!

Five librarians were recognized at Upstate’s 19th Annual Celebration of the Faculty on April 16, 2026. Adelaide Tracey and Christina Almonte were recognized for their appointments as Assistant Librarians. Sarah Lawler and Stephanie Helsher were recognized for their promotions to Associate Librarians with tenure. Olivia Tsistinas received the Gold Standard Award, which recognizes faculty members who elevate Upstate through sustained excellence and service. We are proud to recognize and celebrate their accomplishments and ongoing contributions to the university.

Check out the new exhibit on the first floor about medical photography! The display features early works on photography used for medical education. These volumes are part of a larger collection that was donated in 2024 from Dr. Stanley Burns to the Archives and Special Collections.

This December marks the 30th birthday of our library! In December of 1995 the Health Sciences Library building was officially opened and became the new home of our library on campus. A lot has changed in the building over the years, so we're sharing a few photos from the building's past!
