🌟 Event Recap: ROBOXPLORE 3.0 – A Comprehensive Exploration into Robotics! 🤖

The IET JU Campus Student Chapter successfully organized the highly engaging ROBOXPLORE 3.0 workshop on 14th and 15th November 2025, witnessing an excellent turnout and enthusiastic participation from students. The event offered an ideal platform to explore the core principles of robotics and gain valuable hands-on experience in robotic engineering.

📅 Day 1:
The event commenced with an insightful lecture by Prof. Ranjit Kumar Barai, who shared his profound expertise and perspectives on robotics, igniting curiosity and interest among all attendees.

This was followed by an informative and enriching session conducted by the Jadavpur University Mechatronics Club. The members delivered a clear and structured introduction to the fundamentals of robotics, demonstrated the working mechanism of a drone, and explained the systematic methodology required to plan, debug, and execute robotic tasks effectively.

The session greatly strengthened the foundational learning experience on the first day.

📅 Day 2:
The hands-on session, led by Prof. Biswajit Bhattacharyya, focused on interfacing microcontrollers with various sensors and actuators. This session included working with Arduino mega 2560, stepper motor, LCD display,offering participants valuable real-world exposure to robot programming.

The workshop concluded with the distribution of Completion Certificates to all participants, marking the successful culmination of an excellent learning initiative.

A special thanks to Prof. Susanta Ray, whose unwavering guidance and support made this event possible.

💻 The students left with enhanced technical understanding, practical skills, and a renewed passion for robotics. We look forward to organizing more such events and continuing to nurture a culture of innovation and technological advancement.

🌟 Microgrid Workshop Cum Industrial Visit: A Journey of Learning and Innovation! 🌟

We had an incredible two-day workshop focused on microgrids, where we delved into the latest advancements and practical applications in energy sector.

Day 1 kicked off with an insightful session led by Mr. Santanu Sen , General Manager, Planning at CESC, and Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, who shared their vast knowledge on microgrid technologies and the importance of integrating renewable energy sources into our smart grids. Their expertise not only enlightened us but also ignited our passion for innovation and sustainable energy solutions.

On Day 2, we transitioned to an immersive industrial visit at the CESC Microgrid Plant located in Chakmir Substation, Maheshtala. Guided by the proficient officials from CESC, Mr. Sayan Kolley and Mr. Surya Sekhar Manna, we had the opportunity to see the remarkable microgrid setup in action. One of the key highlights was witnessing the floating solar power plant, a testament to CESC's commitment to harnessing renewable energy and maximizing efficiency.

A special thanks to Prof. Susanta Ray for his unwavering support and guidance, which made this workshop possible.

🌟 Industrial Visit Highlights: Bakreswar Thermal Power Plant 🌟

The IET JU On Campus, Student Chapter had the pleasure of organizing an enriching industrial visit to the Bakreswar Thermal Power Plant on November 9th and 10th. This initiative aimed to provide our members with firsthand experience of the energy sector and its crucial role in power generation.

Under the expert supervision of our beloved professor, Dr. Susanta Ray, participants gained valuable insights into the operational processes of the thermal power plant, exploring the technologies that drive energy efficiency and sustainability. The discussions led by Prof. Ray were not only informative but also sparked engaging conversations about the future of energy innovation.

Our visit also included some delightful sightseeing, featuring the Tilpara Barrage and the Bakreswar Hot Water Spring. These locations offered a fantastic opportunity to appreciate the intricate balance between engineering and nature, enriching our understanding of water management and geothermal energy.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Susanta Ray for his invaluable guidance and to everyone involved in making this visit a success. Such experiences are vital in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, and we look forward to organizing more such events in the future.

🚀 ROBOXPLORE 2.0: A Successful Journey into the World of Robotics! 🤖

The IET JU Campus Student Chapter is delighted to share the success of ROBOXPLORE 2.0, held on 4th and 5th October 2024. This two-day workshop offered students a deep dive into the basics of Robotics, allowing them to explore the fundamentals of robotic engineering and understand how things work in the real world.

📚 Event Highlights:

Day 1:
Prof. Amitava Chatterjee delivered an inspiring lecture on robotics, sharing his vast knowledge and experience. It was an engaging session that sparked curiosity among all attendees.

Day 2:
The hands-on session led by Prof Biswajit Bhattacharya and Mr. Saibal Ghosh provided practical experience in interfacing microcontrollers with sensors and actuators. This was followed by a live demonstration of a fully functional robot, offering participants valuable insights into robot programming.

A huge thank you to Prof. Susanta Ray for his continuous support and guidance, which was instrumental in making this event a grand success.

The workshop concluded with the distribution of Completion Certificates to all participants, celebrating their hard work and dedication over the two days.
