KYOKUSHIN KARATE CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Kyokushin Standard Class (Adult & Teen Classes)
Living up to its reputation as the “Strongest Karate” those training in Kyokushin must be ready for some serious physical education. Based on courtesy, humility and respect framed by serious and intense Kyokushin techniques classes have a strong emphasis on Kumite (live sparring). Within each class students will

not only practice highly effective moves but easily loose weight, improve flexibility, increase endurance, strength and self confidence. While each participants in Kyokushin is pushed to their own personal limits special consideration will be given to youth, women as well as seniors based on their individual needs. With Practical training in mind only basic to intermediate kata are performed in general classes. Separate upper rank and kata classes offered to focus more on each ranks individual requirements. Although open to all ranks due to the intensity of our general classes mixed age classes are a great option for beginners of all ages. Kyokushin (Mixed Ages)
Within this slightly shorter and less intense class students ages 7 to adult will focus on the learning of basic-advanced kyokushin techniques. When performing kumite (live sparring) special consideration will be given to age and individual abilities of each participant. Due to the framework of this class it is an ideal option for not only beginners but family members wishing to practice together. As with Adult/Teen classes mostly basic to intermediate kata are performed in mixed classes. Kyokushin Kata class ( Adult & Teen)
During Kata class students will focus in on learning the various Kata's (forms/patterns) required for each rank. Also included in these classes will be basic-advanced Kihon (line drills) which will further aid in the learning of the individual techniques required within each Kata. K-21 FIGHT TEAM ( Kyokushin, Kickboxing & MMA)

Once students have reached a high enough level in the respective striking arts they may qualify to be part of our K-21 Fight Team. Within these invitation only classes, participants will focus on honing their fighting skills through a combination of partner drills and live sparring. Curriculum and gear requirements dependent on type of competition being trained for. Past classes have focused on everything from full contact Kyokushin, kickboxing, to various mixed martial arts competitions. Due to the nature of these classes they are usually restricted to participants 18 and above. Those wishing to compete in MMA must first show proficiency in both the striking and grappling related arts.

It is with profound sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Kaicho Hatsuo Royama of
Kyokushin-kan.
After battling illness for some time, his condition suddenly worsened, and he passed away on Monday, August 3, at 4:48 PM.
Throughout his repeated and serious illnesses, he fought with dignity and unwavering strength until the very end.

A Legacy of DedicationKaicho Hatsuo Royama dedicated his entire life to the preservation and advancement of true Budo Karate. His profound teachings and tireless efforts to strengthen the foundation of Kyokushin-kan will be remembered always.
He inspired countless students worldwide, instilling the values of discipline, respect, and ultimate perseverance. His vision and spirit will forever guide our organization and remain alive in our hearts.
Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to his family and the global Kyokushin family during this difficult time. We pray for his eternal peace.
