At Abacus children have the opportunity to participate in Montessori activities led by our trained practitioner.
Montessori education is a child-centred approach that encourages self-directed learning through hands on activities and collaborative play.
Please see below some activities that we offer at Abacus which are demonstrated by the practitioner first and then copied by the child promoting independence in our prepared environment.

At Abacus we have recently revamped our library. 📚
Reading makes up a fundamental part of language development in early childhood. Not only does it help with a child’s ability to understand words, it also ignites creativity, sparks curiosity and stimulates the imagination in young children.
Children at Abacus have multiple opportunities to access our library area everyday.

Early Talk Boost 🐯
Did you know that at Abacus, children are invited to join our communication and language programme which we call talking tigers. Tizzy the tiger leads the session with our skilled practitioner.
Early Talk Boost (Talking tigers) is a targeted intervention for children who need support with their language development. This programme aims to support talking and understanding words, helping to boost their language skills. The programme aims to accelerate children’s progress in language and communication by an average of 6 months, after a nine week intervention.
Would you like your child to join a setting where they are supported with different interventions to help develop their skills?
If you would like more information about Abacus and spaces available please contact [email protected]
