Here are the details for the day!

Location: Holt Cemetery

When you Arrive:

Please check-in at the Black Warrior Riverkeeper table and we will provide instructions when everyone arrives. If you have not filled out a liability waiver, you will be asked to complete one at check-in. The table will have first aid, hand sanitizer, gloves, trash bags, and litter grabbers.

Please check out prior to leaving and return your supplies.

What to Expect:
Once everyone checks in, there will be a brief safety talk and we will go over the cleanup plan. Volunteers will then split into groups so we can pick up as much litter as possible before meeting back at the event site at around 1:30/1:45 to weigh the trash and take a final group picture.

What to Wear:

- Shoes: Please wear closed-toed shoes and ones that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty.

- Clothes: Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and/or WET. Please dress weather-appropriate, we will be outdoors the entire time. We highly encourage you to wear long pants as some of the trash we pick up can be sharp/jagged materials.

What to Bring :
- Water/Water Bottle
- Sunscreen/Hat

Additional Information:

Weather: We are constantly monitoring the weather for our cleanups and we will proceed if there is light drizzle. This event will be cancelled if there is a threat of severe thunderstorms/lightning. If the weather is questionable, please check your email before leaving for the site.
