The Data Science qualifications offered at UKZN are designed to produce well-rounded professionals, by providing work-based learning opportunities in collaboration, and through partnerships, with industry through internships and solving of real problems emanating from business and industry. The uniqueness of the UKZN Data Science qualifications lie in our programmes equipping the learners with pro

blem solving skills and knowledge, using up-to-date industry problems within the modules and students’ projects, where after the students present attempted solutions to the industry, for the benefit of feedback from the industry to the students, but more importantly, to the academics, that will continuously look to improve the service to industry and skills of graduates, through constant review of academic programmes. As a result, our graduates will have verification of qualifications for the fulfillment of industry and academic standards.

We are pleased to announce that the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science at the University of KwaZulu-Natal now offers a range of Data Science qualifications. Starting in 2021, our new Masters Degree in Data Science and Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science will both be available to study full-time or part-time.
