From Curiosity to Creation: AI & Robotics Workshop by Manas College

The Department of IT & Data Sciences, Manas College, Pithoragarh successfully conducted the Future Innovators Workshop across the Manas Vihar Campus and City Campus of Manas Academy, introducing students to the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence, IoT, and Robotics. Through hands-on activities, Arduino-based projects, AI-powered tools such as NotebookLM, coding exercises, and interactive demonstrations, students explored the fundamentals of emerging technologies while developing creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a future-ready mindset. The workshop transformed classrooms into innovation spaces where students learned not just about technology, but by creating with technology.

The workshop concluded with a Closing Ceremony graced by Prof. N. S. Bhandari, Founder Vice-Chancellor of Soban Singh Jeena University, Almora, as the Chief Guest. The programme was attended by Dr. Ashok Kumar Pant, Chairman, Manas Group of Institutions; Mr. Devasheesh Pant, Director, Manas Group of Institutions; Mrs. Meenu Bhatt, Director Academics, Manas Academy; Mr. G. S. Bohra, Administrative Officer, Manas Academy; Mrs. Sunita Rawat, Principal, Manas Vihar Campus; along with faculty members of Manas Academy and the Department of IT & Data Sciences, Manas College. This initiative reflects the commitment of Manas College and Manas Academy towards empowering young learners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in the technology-driven world of tomorrow.

International Exposure at Manas College, Pithoragarh

Today, Manas College had the privilege of hosting students from different countries including Canada, parts of the USA, Norway, and other international nationals at our campus.

The visiting team was warmly welcomed by the Director of Manas Group of Institutions, Mr. Devasheesh Pant, who introduced the guests to the vision, academic environment, courses, and achievements of the institution.

The Chairman also presented bouquets to the team leader of the group and Personality Development Partner of our college Mr. Sindre Vetvik from ILC as a token of love and warm hospitality from Manas College.

The visit included meaningful interactions with our faculty members, staff, and students, followed by an engaging intercultural informal discussion where participants shared their thoughts, experiences, cultures, education systems, and perspectives from different parts of the world.

It was truly a wonderful learning experience and a proud moment for all of us. The international guests were highly impressed by the infrastructure, academic atmosphere, facilities, and opportunities being provided at such a remote yet rapidly growing educational hub like Pithoragarh.

Such global interactions inspire us to think beyond boundaries and prepare themselves for an international future.

National Technology Day 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Manas College, Pithoragarh. Our students showcased their insightful perspectives on emerging technologies, innovation, and their real-world applications, reflecting the spirit of future-ready learning.
The highlight of the day was the launch of Raksha AI, an innovative safety application developed by our talented student Manas Sethi. Designed primarily for women’s safety, the app serves as a powerful emergency and SOS solution for all, demonstrating how technology can truly address real-life challenges.
The Director of Manas College applauded the students for their innovative thinking, meaningful discussions, and commitment to using technology for social impact — because innovation that solves real problems is the true need of the hour.
The celebration concluded with an inspiring documentary on Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, whose extraordinary journey deeply motivated our students and reinforced the power of dreams, dedication, and technological advancement.

Shaping Future Tech Leaders at Manas College, Pithoragarh : The Department of Information Technology, Manas College, successfully concluded the “Smart Coders Bootcamp – Full Stack Development with AI,” organized from 24th April 2026 to 2nd May 2026. This hands-on workshop provided students with practical exposure to modern web technologies including HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, React JS, Node.js, MongoDB, along with real-time project development and AI tools integration. Under the expert guidance of Mr. Sumit Joshi, Sr. Corporate Trainer, participants significantly enhanced their technical, practical, and problem-solving skills through an engaging industry-oriented learning experience.
The closing ceremony, held today, celebrated the successful completion of the bootcamp with certificate distribution to all participants. The event was graced by distinguished guests including Prof. Sushil Joshi, Dean, Department of Science, Soban Singh Jeena University, Almora; Dr. Parul Saxena, HOD, Computer Science, SSJU Almora; Dr. Ashok Kumar Pant, Chairman, Manas Group of Institutions; Mr. Devasheesh Pant, Director, Manas College; and Mr. Sumit Joshi. The programme began with a warm welcome by Mr. Yogesh Bhatt, Head of Public Relations, followed by a detailed workshop overview by Mrs. Akanksha Pant, HOD, Department of IT. Inspiring addresses by the esteemed guests motivated students toward future success, while participants shared highly positive feedback about the transformative learning experience.
