We are delighted to welcome Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khoo Boon Yin as Editor-in-Chief of Current Cancer Research (CCR).

Dr. Khoo is an Associate Professor at the Institute for Research in Molecular Medicine (INFORMM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Her research focuses on molecular mechanisms in cancer, cancer biology, yeast-based compound screening, cancer–stem cell interactions, and the functional roles of specific genes in disease development.

Her research activities span fundamental and translational cancer biology, with particular emphasis on understanding disease mechanisms and identifying biologically relevant targets for further therapeutic and diagnostic investigation. Through multidisciplinary molecular research, her work contributes to a deeper understanding of cancer progression and potential strategies for improving disease management.

Dr. Khoo’s expertise in molecular oncology, cancer biology, compound screening, and gene function will significantly strengthen the scientific quality and research direction of CCR. We warmly welcome her to the Editorial Team and look forward to her leadership in advancing the journal as an international platform for impactful cancer research.

We are delighted to welcome Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd Sapuan Salit as Editor-in-Chief of Materials Engineering and Technologies (MET).

Prof. Sapuan is a Research Fellow at the Advanced Engineering Materials and Composites Research Centre, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). His research focuses on natural fibre composites, nanocomposites, nanocellulose biopolymer composites, circular economy, and concurrent engineering, with extensive experience in the development of sustainable and advanced composite materials.

Throughout his academic career, Prof. Sapuan has made significant contributions to materials engineering and composite technology, particularly in the areas of bio-based materials, natural fibre reinforcement, sustainable product development, and environmentally responsible manufacturing. His research has supported the advancement of high-performance materials while promoting greater resource efficiency and sustainability.

Prof. Sapuan’s expertise and leadership in advanced materials, composite engineering, and circular economy will further strengthen the scientific direction, academic quality, and international visibility of MET. We warmly welcome him as Editor-in-Chief and look forward to his leadership in guiding the continued development and success of the journal.

Dr. Lai Ngit Shin is the Associate Professor at the Institute for Research in Molecular Medicine (INFORMM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). His research focuses on drug discovery, molecular diagnostics, infectious diseases, translational medicine, and clinical pharmacology, with extensive experience in translating biomedical research into clinically relevant applications.

Dr. Lai has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognized journals and has established an active research profile in molecular medicine and pharmaceutical sciences. His work spans biomarker discovery, diagnostic technologies, therapeutic development, and multidisciplinary translational research aimed at improving disease diagnosis and patient care.

As an active researcher and academic leader, Dr. Lai has contributed to various national and international research collaborations and continues to promote innovation in biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences through research, teaching, and scientific mentorship.

Dr. Lai's expertise in drug discovery, molecular diagnostics, translational medicine, infectious diseases, and clinical pharmacology will further strengthen the scientific quality and international visibility of ACPT. We are delighted to welcome Prof. Vuanghao Lim as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ACPT).

His research focuses on natural products drug discovery, nanodrug carrier synthesis, and metabolomics/chemometrics. He has published extensively in high-impact journals, including International Journal of Nanomedicine, Drug Delivery and Translational Research, Food Chemistry, and Industrial Crops and Products, covering topics such as metabolomics-driven bioactive compound identification, redox-responsive polymeric nanocarriers, and nanoparticle-based therapeutics.

Prof. Lim is listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University (2024, 2025). He is a Professional Technologist registered with the Malaysia Board of Technologists, a member of the American Chemical Society and Malaysia Local Chapter of the Controlled Release Society, and serves as an editorial board member for several international journals. He has been invited as a keynote and plenary speaker at numerous international conferences, and has served as a visiting professor and external examiner for universities across Asia, Australia, and Europe.

Prof. Lim’s expertise in pharmaceutical sciences, nanotechnology, and metabolomics will greatly strengthen the journal’s scope and international standing. We look forward to his contributions and guidance in shaping the future of ACPT.
