Our Key Stage 2 children had a special treat this afternoon. Megan Clarkson from Derby County Women came into school. The children had the opportunity to ask her loads of interesting questions before heading outside for some football coaching. Derby County Women

Our children observed the Remembrance Day silence out on the playground at 11am this morning. Throughout the week we have been making poppies for a piece of Remembrance Day artwork.

We've had such a lovely afternoon as our pupils enjoyed a fun filled afternoon today with our very own Magic Show!
Lots of giggles and laughs from the whole school as their treat for our recent GOOD Ofsted!

We have had such a busy week in school with our Harvest Festival, Diwali Craft Morning and Books & Breakfast Event.

Thank you to our Artist Teresa who has been working with our pupils over the last year, discussing all things ‘Climate Change’.
We have all enjoyed learning about the impact our actions are having on the environment and loved creating this art work to share our knowledge

We are really enjoying getting to know the children who will be joining are nursery and reception classes in September at our "Meet the Teacher" sessions. It is great to see so many of the children enjoying all of the activities set out for them. We still have a few spaces available for September if you are looking for a nursery place for a 3 or 4 year old and would love to see some more new faces! At Ash Croft we celebrate the wide diversity of cultures and languages that make up our school family. Our "Language of the Month" gives us the opportunity to learn a few simple words and phrases that are important to our friends and help us to welcome those who are new to our school. This month Bengali is our language of the month.

Taylor Wimpey are building new homes very near to Ash Croft. Our children were invited to design a flag for the Boundary Moor Gardens development. It's exciting to see the winning entry flying high.
