Community Voices Youth Choir is a FREE opportunity for kids to perform live as part of the historic Avon & Farmington 250th Anniversary Celebration on June 26.

Your child will work directly with Michael Lamb of Performing Arts Programs to learn and perform an original song — "We Stand" — at this once-in-a-lifetime community event.

Hi everyone!

I’m very excited to share that I’ll be working with the Towns of Avon and Farmington for their 250th Anniversary Celebration.

As part of this special celebration marking the 250th anniversary of our nation, I created an original song called “We Stand,” and we’re putting together a special Community Voices Youth Choir to perform it live on Friday, June 26.

This is open to children ages 7–12 from Avon, Farmington, the Farmington Valley, and nearby communities. All Levels of skill. No singing experience is needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to be part of something meaningful.

The commitment is simple: two rehearsals and one special performance at the Avon and Farmington 250th Anniversary Celebration.

Participants will also receive access to a simple online practice portal with lyrics and rehearsal tracks before the first rehearsal.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that I’ll be teaching acting classes this winter in the Farmington Valley with Performing Arts Programs, in partnership with the Town of Simsbury and the Town of Avon through their Recreation Departments.

Class dates:
Avon (Thursdays): January 22 – March 5
Simsbury (Fridays): January 23 – March 6

Class times (same for both towns):
K–1: 4:15–5:00pm
Grades 2–4: 5:05–6:00pm
Grades 5–8: 6:05–7:00pm

These classes are for all skill levels—beginner, intermediate, or experienced. These live, in-person classes will be a great way to build confidence, strengthen performance skills, and keep growing creatively.
