In October, We stand before you to talk about the significance of the month of the Holy Rosary and the joy of spreading this beautiful devotion in schools. Dominican School of Camalig would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Camalig South Central School for welcoming us and embracing the Rosary's message.

We are grateful to the schools that have welcomed us and allowed us to share this meaningful prayer with the young minds within their walls as we become more aware of the significance of the Rosary. Your dedication to fostering your pupils' spiritual development and giving them a well-rounded education is very admirable.

We hold a particular place in our hearts and in our faith during the Holy Rosary month. It is a time when we focus on the Blessed Virgin Mary and ask for her help and intercession by praying the rosary. This beloved practice enables us to reflect on the person of Jesus and associate ourselves with His love and self-giving.

St. Dominic de Guzman, born in 1170 in Caleruega, Spain, was a visionary and influential Catholic saint. He founded the Order of Preachers, also known as the Dominicans, in 1216, with a focus on promoting education, intellectualism, and combating heresy through preaching. St. Dominic believed in a life of poverty, humility, and dedication to the Gospel. His emphasis on study and preaching led to the establishment of many universities and centers of learning across Europe. He passed away in 1221, leaving a legacy of devotion to learning, service, and spreading the teachings of Christianity. He was canonized as a saint in 1234 by Pope Gregory IX.

We would like to express our gratitude to Sr. Melody and Sr. Aileen for their dedicated service to Dominican School of Camalig. We are thankful for their valuable support to the Institute for Campus Ministry and its endeavors. May they find success and fulfillment in their new role. May God bless them abundantly as they embark on their new assignment.

Let us Pray for Them as they will Go to their New Assignments. Sr. Melody is now assigned in Manila and Sr. Aileen, in Unisan, Quezon. Thank you Sisters and God bless you always 😇🙏💖

Ngayong araw, Hulyo 7, ginugunita natin ang buhay ni Blessed Pope Benedict XI, na nagsilbing Santo Papa mula 1303 hanggang 1304. Siya ay kilala sa kanyang kababaang-loob at dedikasyon sa kapayapaan, sinikap niyang mamagitan sa mga alitan at magkasundong muli ang mga pagkakabaha-bahagi sa Simbahan.

Si Blessed Pope Benedict XI ay isang Dominican friar bago naging Papa. Ang kanyang panunungkulan, bagaman maikli, ay tumatak dahil sa kanyang katapatan, kalinisan ng layunin, at matapat na paglilingkod sa Simbahan.

Sa kanyang araw ngayon, hilingin natin ang kanyang mga panalangin na tayo rin sana ay magkaroon ng kababaang-loob at dedikasyon sa kapayapaan, at patuloy na maglingkod sa ating mga komunidad at Simbahan, tulad niya.

JUNE 27 | Feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help

PRAYER TO OUR MOTHER OF PERPETUAL HELP

O Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that I may ever invoke your most powerful name, which is the safeguard of the living and the salvation of the dying.

O Purest Mary, O Sweetest Mary, let thy name henceforth be ever on my lips.

Delay not, O Blessed Lady, to help me whenever I call on you, for, in all my needs, in all my temptations I shall never cease to call on you, ever repeating thy sacred name, Mary, Mary.

O what consolation, what sweetness, what confidence, what emotion fill my soul when I pronounce your sacred name, or even only think of you.

I thank God for having given you, for my good, so sweet, so powerful, so lovely a name.

But I will not be content with merely pronouncing your name: let my love for you prompt me ever to hail you, Mother of Perpetual Help.

Amen.
