-Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists or forklift.
--Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
--Assist in wiring assemblies and machinery.
--Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.

NCC is proud to say we are sending 17 students to the SkillsUSA National Contests and Leadership Conference in Atlanta in June. To help students with their costs, we are hosting a Silent Auction. Northland Career Center SkillsUSA members are headed off to the state competitions April 4-6 at the State Technical College of Missouri. There will be 72 students competing in 32 contests. Several of NCC/PCAVTS members will remember competing in the SkillsUSA/VICA competitions. Keep the date of April 13 open as NCC is planning a SkillSUSA Alumni BBQ to help with student fees to attend the state competitions. More info to come soon. Also, if you happen to have any SkillsUSA contest attire, we would appreciate it being returned/donated so others may it in the future.

NCC's annual student holiday meal was last week with students coming through BIG as usual with their collected donations for the Community Action Agency of Greater Kansas City. A collection of more than 5300 items and $392 were delivered to the Tracy, MO office. Students were able to help stock the shelves after making the delivery. NCC students have been donating to this agency for more than 23 years. GREAT JOB TO ALL!!
