It’s the summer holidays and whilst the children are off school we are having some redecorative works done in school. You may see open windows or lights on so please don’t be concerned.
However, if you do see anything that concerns you, please contact the police on 101 as they have contact numbers for key holders.

We are very excited to share updated pictures when the work is complete.

Silver Birch Class have had an exciting start to the week, with a video message from author Brogen Murphy.

The class read 'Wildlands' as their class reader last half-term and absolutely loved it. They were thrilled to find out about the plans for a sequel and were already discussing their wishes for the plot and what the book might look like. Miss Skilbeck shared the classes love of the book and excitement for the sequel with the author who was kind enough to invite the group to send some questions for them to answer.

To the classes surprise, Brogen was kind enough to send a video message back to the class, thanking them for their support, answering their brilliant questions and telling them all about the processes surrounding being a published author; including the fun part of working with an illustrator to design the book. The class were then invited to use the synopsis of the upcoming book to infer the design of the cover. Brogen shared that this process is happening right now, so any brilliant ideas from the class can be shared with the illustrator of the sequel!

Miss Skilbeck is looking forward to the class finishing their designs and sharing their fantastic artwork with Brogen.
