🌍 Cross-Cultural Exchange in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼🇪🇹

Today, we had the pleasure of spending time with the Ethiopian Delegation in Zimbabwe for a meaningful cross-cultural exchange.

Beyond borders, cultures and languages, we continue to discover the values that connect us as people. 🤝🌍

One world. Many cultures. One people.

🌍 ONE AFRICA TRUST – GLOBAL NETWORK AT THE AFRICA EARLY WARNINGS FORUM

> We are proud to be represented by our Country Representative for Ethiopia, Eaden Ollo Olandiya, together with Bereket Beyene, at the Africa Early Warnings Forum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Our representatives are actively participating in discussions on Community-Based Early Warning Systems, Early Warnings for All, Technology & AI, and Sustainable Financing.

> But for us, these discussions are more than policy conversations. We are already putting these principles into practice.

Through our *Disaster & Pandemic Preparedness Volunteers (DPPV) programme,* we are building a network of trained community volunteers who can serve as a vital link between early-warning systems and the communities they are intended to protect.

The *DPPVs* are part of the vehicle to take preparedness, awareness, early warning and response capacity to the last mile—where information must ultimately become understanding, preparedness and action.

🌍 Technology can provide the warning. Systems can transmit the message. But *communities need people* who can connect that *warning to real action*.

This is why community capacity, local knowledge, accessibility, trust and preparedness matter.

At *One Africa Trust – Global Network,* we are not only talking about *Early Warnings* for All.

We are building the human network that can help make it possible.

Greetings, Global Network Volunteers, Coordinators and Country Representatives.

I know it can be difficult to hear a call to start talking to and meeting people from different countries—whether online or in person.

Some of us don’t even like getting out of our own beds, let alone leaving home to go to work, school, or even the next city! 😅

Yes, meeting new people can be uncomfortable. But no good opportunity ever comes our way without reaching out for it. We must become masters of our own tomorrow by taking action today.

So today, take that leap.

Talk to someone new in our Network.
Say, “Enough with my comfort zone.”
Choose to be visible and let the world see the good that you carry.

Your story could be the very words someone else has been waiting to hear—the encouragement they need to succeed, to believe again, or to make a positive change.

So I challenge you to take this step with me as we build a United and Prosperous World, where we see one another first as human beings, without boundaries between us.

Let us become bridges to one another. Let us choose to see the good in others, learn from each other, and create opportunities across borders.

Join us today. Connect with someone new. Share your story. And give someone else the opportunity to discover yours.

The world needs what each of us has to offer.

Yours,
Tapiwa Mukombe
Founder & President

Volunteers in Service to Humanity

Our volunteers continue to make a meaningful contribution within clinics and hospitals, supporting healthcare environments through community service, compassion and dedication. Their presence represents the spirit of volunteerism that lies at the heart of One Africa Trust — mobilising people to serve, support vulnerable communities and contribute to stronger, healthier societies.

We recognise and appreciate every volunteer who gives their time, skills and energy in service to others. Together, we serve. Together, we build. Together, we make a difference.
