One book. Endless possibilities. 📖

Our internal O'Book Fair lands on 28 August 2026! But your reading journey can start right now.

Here is the challenge: read just ONE book before school reopens. Because every page you turn builds imagination, confidence, and the leader you are becoming.

So tell us, what is on your reading list this holiday? Drop it in the comments! 👇

🎶From the classroom to the civic stage!

The OWLAG Choir proudly performed at the Midvaal State of the Municipality Address (SOMA), showcasing the power of youth, excellence, and unity through music. Their inspiring performance demonstrated that when young women raise their voices, communities listen.

We are proud to see our choristers representing OWLAG with grace, confidence, and harmony. 🎵

Class of 2030 | First Drama Production🎭

“When the Cracks Bloom” saw our Grade 8s light up the stage with a powerful and heartfelt performance. What began as a fractured magical garden blossomed into a vibrant symbol of unity, growth, and belonging.

This production may have been set in a fictional garden, but its message could not be more real. As learners grappled with questions of climate change, water scarcity, and our relationship with the natural world, another garden has quietly been flourishing on campus. Through our vegetable garden, the girls and staff are experiencing firsthand the real rewards and responsibilities of nurturing living things.

Sometimes the lessons that take root on stage are the same ones taking root in the soil.

Wellness Wednesday: Every Child Deserves Safety. 💚

Our Child Protection Week Programme, running until 26 June by the Wellness Team and Girls Up Committee, continues to drive safety awareness through meaningful engagement in our community. This past week, our activities included:
🎞️ A thought provoking skit highlighted the realities of child abuse, where powerful moments from the Grade 8 and 9s performance sparked reflection and dialogue amongst the learners.
🗣️ An engaging debate by the Grade 10s empowered learners to discuss child protection issues and advocate for safer communities.

Together, we are creating a culture where every child is protected, valued, and heard.

🥬They planted. They watered. They waited. And last week, they harvested!

The OWLAG Vegetable Garden just produced its very first crop, and the joy in that moment was special. Green hands. Muddy knees. Enormous smiles. We are cultivating more than vegetables here. We are cultivating leadership, wellness, and a deep respect for the living world around us.

Wednesday: We raise our voices for Child Protection Week 💚

This month, we hosted a Child Protection and Safeguarding Assembly with a powerful panel of guest speakers whom we appreciate. We concluded that safety is not a privilege. It is every child’s right.

- A safe child is a confident child.
- A protected child is a powerful future.

Internally, we continue to commemorate Child Protection Week under the theme “Every Child Deserves Safety” by hosting an engaging activities programme until 26 June 2026. Our programme encourages dialogue and strengthens safe spaces for every learner.

Let us create spaces where every child feels safe, valued, and free to dream boldly.
