Quantitative data doesn't lie

And the Truth that these answers are from non H&F people who are native, experienced and deep in web3 and NFT’s is exciting

They can see it...

..can you?

20/12/2021

Yes. It will. And here's why

If you look back on the industry, you will see how drastically it's changed in JUST the last decade

Nothing stands still

People are confusing their own lack of understanding for a false truth that "this means nothing"

When in Truth, it means a lot. The web3 ecosystem isn't coming - it's here

And just like businesses have been left behind in the past when these "big jumps" occurred - the same patterns and cycles are playing out here

People are confusing their own lack of understanding for a false truth that "this is nothing"

"But aren't NFTs just a form of digital art? How could this possibly impact things like online content and digital programs - especially fitness/nutrition? Even as a "token" - how is that different from paying for enrolment?"

It's not, but it is...

..web3 adds, it expands, it creates transparency to transactions

Your ability to create value for people in your community is exponentially increased

web3 is leveling the playing field by allowing the coach/business to stack even more value into their services without needing more labor or capital to do so

David is taking down Goliath, and it's happening right before your eyes

What does all this mean in the coming evolution of this industry?

Like all things future-focused it is hypothetical right now, no one knows for certain

Yet we're getting the first glance of the possibilities inside this brave new world

Just as the car transformed & social platforms transformed the world, web3 is changing the world too - and you're a part of this history...

The exact same patterns and themes that have continually cycled around in the past are present here once again

Just because you don't understand something now, doesn't mean it's not real or coming - does it?

The transition from web2 to web3 is simple and smooth. It involves nothing but learning

The question is not "if"... the question is "when"

Take the first-mover advantage while it's still there and begin learning what you need

$2.7M AND $2.8M for a JPG?
Why would anyone pay that...

Well, there are a number of reasons. But it all depends on the project.

NFT Projects like BAYC give you access to:
✅ Status
✅ Ecosystem
✅ Business Opportunities
✅ Networking Opportunities
✅ Merch, Online Games, and more
✅ IRL Events
✅ and much more

Artists, like Fewocious, give you access to:
✅ The art
✅ Resale value
✅ Status

Whilst other projects give you access to:
✅ Essentially anything their minds can ideate and they can create

The great projects are stacking value on top of value inside their ecosystems for collectors

Why?

Because it means the current holders will hold, and it will increase the demand of new people wanting to buy in

The thing to understand most here is that like in all things in life, we are the creators of the value...

..in this ecosystem, the CREATORS put forth the project & utility and the COLLECTORS bring their perspective to create the value

In that sense, it's the same as the real world. I mean, why is a Rolex worth more than a Cassio?

More importantly, why would you spend that much money on:
a. something that doesn't provide you back with any value
b. depreciates in value
c. is ONLY a signal of status

That right there is food for thought

As a creator, the thing to know is your collectors & community will tell you how valuable your NFT is.

So your focus should be on creating something remarkable, that people want to be a part of long-term, and provides them with things that they find valuable

Oh. And "collectors"... be wary of "rugs".

Ya boi learned his lesson early buying into something a heap of influencers hyped, he thought had utility and ended up being a "cash grab" by the founders

The lesson learned? Be patient, act slow, do your own research

"Isn't an NFT just a digital form of art"...
"Can't I just right-click & save that"...
"Why is that worth anything"...

If you were to shift your perspective to view an NFT like a "ticket" or a "token" that provides you with exclusive access to whatever the project has created; how does that change things for you?

✅ what an NFT is
✅ how value is created in them

What's the risk? That's the million dollar question, isn't it?

Well, there are two - depending on if you're coming as a collector or a creator

For the collector, the risk is money
For the creator, the risk is time

As a collector, you're investing your money and attempting to use this as leverage to increase your ROI

As a creator, you're investing your time and energy to create a project of value and in turn, creating leverage on a physical, capital, and tech sense

As a collector, you risk losing your money AND potentially doubling your ROI

As a creator, you risk losing some of your time AND potentially infinitely expanding your revenue depending on success, systems, vision, project setup and more

The likelihood of success on both ends is minimal right now...

..but keep in mind that's the reality in web2 based businesses and the stock market

The NFT Projects that are setting themselves up like web2 businesses & the collectors taking a diversified approach are seeing success

They're figuring out how to use universal laws & principles in a web3 ecosystem

Yes, there's risk - but that's the same with all of life

In the web3 ecosystem, success comes from understanding the landscape, seeing clearly, choosing rationally, and acting accordingly

Put that way, it's not so scary, is it...

Should I collect or create?

That's the question that's asked the most by coaches and web2 businesses looking to transition into web3 (*Nike just bought one of the top web3 studios - RTFKT...)

And to truly answer it, you first need to know what you're looking to receive from this ecosystem and what you're willing to give

Both collecting & creating have their pros and cons

Quick Flips from 0.06ETH to .12ETH+ occur, as does a project mooning from 0.08ETH to 50ETH+...

..but they're an outlier

Yet it's the same success rate for a creator - although the ROI is much higher (*most projects easily do 150ETH+ from their launch)

But which do you want to be, and when do you want to take on that identity?

Swipe right to see the questions you need to ask yourself and the pros/cons of each choice

Right now, what's being observed is that the creator is the way forward...

..yes, the investment in regards to energy is a lot more than collecting - yet the long-term reciprocation is worth the risk compared to collecting

Why? Leverage...

As a creator you can leverage:
a. your team
b. your capital
c. the tech you use

As a collector, you have no leverage apart from how well the project is doing. Even if the project doubles, you have to ask yourself "how likely is it that someone will buy this NFT now the price is X"

Oftentimes, it's not likely as people will look for lower-priced one's to enter the project

TL;DR:
- aim to be a creator
- if you're going to be a collector, be a skeptical optimist
