Another exciting lecture!! Our guest speaker from Nicolaus Copernicus University will talk about why it is important for nations to feel significant.

Our colleagues and PhD students participated in the Winter School of the Joint PhD in Social Representation, Culture and Communication international doctoral program in Rome. The first-year students of the program introduced themselves. Second-year students presented the structure of their research projects during a methodological roundtable discussion, while members of the graduating class presented their latest findings. Our colleagues had the opportunity to further their education on the possibilities and limitations of using artificial intelligence in research, as well as on the topics of decolonial studies and the solidarity economy, through guest lecturers from the Dipartimento di Comunicazione e ricerca sociale at Sapienza Università di Roma.

We are pleased to share that a new book chapter in a glossary by Dr. habil. Sara Bigazzi and Subas Amjad Ali has been published in a recently released volume dedicated to understanding peace in times of profound global uncertainty.
Set against the backdrop of escalating global conflict, structural inequalities, ecological crisis, and the growing influence of digital media, the book emphasizes a crucial insight: words are never neutral. They can reinforce violence or open pathways toward transformation. Conceived as a critical and educational glossary, the volume offers a multidisciplinary compass for interpreting contemporary complexity and for rethinking peace as both a practice and a horizon.
The chapter by our colleagues focuses on decolonisation, shedding light on its historical foundations while also articulating it as a living, working concept—essential for understanding and transforming present-day social realities.
Congratulations to our colleague on this publication!

Our colleague Orsolya Vincze's chapter "Shaping collective memory: The role of narrative composition in historical representation and identity" has been published in the collection of studies entitled Language and Memory. This interdisciplinary edited volume combines linguistic and memory approaches to study how people attribute meaning to the past.
Megjelent a Nyelv és emlékezet című tanulmánykötetben kollégánk Vincze Orsolya írása "Shaping collective memory: The role of narrative composition in historical representation and identity" címmel.
