Smoky Conditions Impacting RVS Communities

RVS schools have been directed to follow the Government of Canada’s Air Quality Health Index (https://weather.gc.ca/.../pages/provincial_summary/ab_e.html) due to heavy smoke in the region. Conditions may vary by community. Schools are asked to keep students indoors for recess and lunch breaks if the air quality is at 7/high risk or higher in their area. Conditions and decisions on indoor activities may change throughout the day.

Parents keeping students home due to air quality health issues are reminded to report their absence to their school.

This week CLMS had the opportunity to have 2 different Indigenous learning opportunities. The grade 7s spent time with Elder Shirley Hill and learned about hoop dancing. All classes enjoyed a high energy performance by the Running Rabbits. Thank you! Rocky View Schools

Tonight was a celebration of music at CLMS! Our band students showcased their many talents - together as an orchestra band, individually as pianists, in a group as a rock band, and as duos! Great work Lakers!
