Isla provides internships abroad for university students and young professionals as well as faculty-led programs and study tours in collaboration with our partner communities and organizations in Bulgaria, Kosovo, Spain, India, and Uganda. Isla provides internships abroad for intrepid humanitarians, social entrepreneurs, and change-makers to work side-by-side with the most dedicated community development leaders in our partner communities. Isla Internships build upon the organizational capacity-building work of our local partner organizations in developing countries by placing university undergraduates, graduate students, and entry-level professionals in career-launching global development internships. Isla immerses participants in substantive projects with non-governmental organizations, social enterprises, and other institutions working in one or more of the following sectors or career fields:

Isla participants gain on-the-job training and improve their skills while helping their host organization's capacity to serve their beneficiaries and communities and improve operations and outcomes. Placing talented people inside purposeful partner organizations, Isla hopes to create opportunities for greater global understanding, cooperation, and community service.
