Hands-on Learning in Forensic Science at PISU 2026

Students participating in the "Introduction to Forensic Science" course at the Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences, led by Prof. Aleksandar Radu and Prof. Albana Veseli, took part in a practical crime scene simulation.

During the session, students applied forensic investigation techniques by documenting a simulated crime scene, collecting biological evidence, and practicing the analysis of forensic samples. This interactive exercise provided valuable hands-on experience, allowing participants to connect scientific theory with real-world forensic practices.

At Prishtina International Summer University 2026, learning goes beyond the classroom, empowering students through practical experiences that build critical thinking and professional skills.

As part of the Guest Voices / Zëra të Mysafirëve session within the course “Gender, Migration and Diaspora”, led by Prof. Dafina Paca and Prof. Vjollca Krasniqi, we had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Kaltrina Kusari for an online guest lecture.

Prof. Kusari, who completed her PhD at the University of Calgary, Canada, and currently serves as Professor and Vice-Rector for Academic Development and Quality, Science and Research at “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova, delivered a lecture on “Gender and Return to Kosovo.”

Through her presentation, Prof. Kusari explored the intersections between migration research and gender, transnational, and postcolonial theories. She highlighted how experiences of migration, return, and the notions of “home” and belonging are shaped and experienced differently depending on gender, identity, and social positioning.

The session offered valuable insights into the complex ways in which mobility, belonging, and identity are negotiated in contemporary societies, enriching students’ understanding of gendered experiences of migration and return.
