Qëllimi i përgjithshëm i Projektit është: të forcohen kompetencat demokratike në shkollat e zgjedhura në Kosovë dhe të jepet shtytja për zhvillimet relevante në shkolla dhe realizimin e tyre, duke ndjekur parimet pjesëmarrëse demokratike. Një numër i shkollave të zgjedhura (rreth 8-12) në Kosovë do t'i nënshtrohen një procesi demokratik/pjesëmarrës të zhvillimit “në vendin e punës” (një kombinim i përvetësimit të kompetencave, zbatimit praktik dhe reflektimit mbi përvojën praktike). Në këtë mënyrë, do të iniciohen dhe realizohen ndryshime/adaptime apo risi konkrete në shkolla. Projekti do të përdorë një metodologji të përzier e cila përbëhet nga:
punëtoritë ku përfaqësuesit e mandatuar të shkollave të zgjedhura zhvillojnë kompetencat dhe shkëmbejnë përvojat me njëri-tjetrin. Në punëtori do të paraqiten konceptet themelore, parimet, teknikat e demokracisë, si dhe materiale mbi praktikën demokratike;
Zbatimi në mes punëtorive, kur anëtarët e ekipit në bashkëpunim me palët e tjerë në shkollat e tyre vënë në praktikë ato që kanë planifikuar dhe mësuar në punëtori. Përvojat dhe rezultatet e proceseve të zhvillimit të shkollave, që do të dokumentohen, prezantohen dhe publikohen. The overall goals of the Project are to strengthen democratic competences at selected schools in Kosovo, and give impulse for and realize relevant developments at the schools on-site following participatory-democratic principles. A selected number of schools (about 8-12) in Kosovo will undergo a democratic/participatory “learning on the job” development process (a combination of knowledge-acquisition, practical application and reflection of practical experience). In so doing concrete changes/adaptations or innovations at the schools will be initiated and realized. The Project will use a blended methodology consisting of:
workshops where mandated representatives of the selected schools develop competences and exchange experiences with each other. At the workshops basic concepts, principles, techniques of democracy as well as material on democratic practice will be presented. Implementation in between the meetings when team members in cooperation with other stakeholders in their schools put into practice what they have planned and learnt at the meetings. Experiences and results of the schools` development processes are documented, presented and published.
