ICNA-STA Scientific Conference 2023
Within the framework of the project “Enhancing Research Culture in Higher Education in Kosovo (ResearchCult)”, supported by Erasmus +, with funds from the European Union, at the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” is taking place the “International Conference on New Achievements in Science, Technology and Arts” – ICNA-STA”. The conference is co-organized with International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) and a number of local and international universities and higher education institutions. It intends to bring together the international and Kosovar academic staff, researchers, students, businesses and other local and international stakeholders aiming to share their scientific experiences, best practices and steer up cooperation in related fields.

Our esteemed key speeches, including the Rector of the University of Prishtina Prof. Dr. Qerim Qerimi, Ms. Bora Shpuza from MESTI, Ambassador of Italy to Kosovo HE Antonello DE RIU, Ambassador of Croatia to Kosovo HE Danijela Barišić, and Mr. Avni Hajdari(Chair of Conference) delivered welcome speeches and shared their insights on the project's achievements.
Furthermore, Mr. Bujar Gallopeni, ResearchCult Project Coordinator, presented the ResearchgCult project outcomes and impact now at the edge of project end.
We were excited to kick off the first plenary session of our conference with three incredible keynote speakers!
Prof. Andrew Collins from the University of Oslo, Norway sharing his insights on DNA damage and repair in a retrospective talk. Prof. Mária Dusinšká from the Norwegian Institute for Air Research (NILU) presented new approaches to hazard and risk assessment of nanomaterials from a RiskGONE perspective. Dr. Igor Belic from the Institute for Forensics and Information Technology (iFIT) in Slovenia has discussed topic on neural network approximation and sampling rate.

The Nobel Prize Laureate Prof. Dan Shechtman, Technion, Haifa - Israel, and ISU, Ames, Iowa - USA, will deliver a Keynote speech on topic "Quasi-Periodic Materials – A Paradigm Shift in Crystallograph", an incredible research experience to share with the research community and audience. Follow up sessions will take place in various thematic fields of science with numerous presentations of recent research work!
