Suvira Chatuverdi, former Head of UN Women in Kosovo in the post-war period, has published her book reflecting on her personal and professional experience during that challenging yet historic time for our country. On the cover of the book, she has chosen to feature a photograph from the First Roundtable on Gender Equality, organized in cooperation with SHE-ERA in Gjakova, in February 2000, a milestone event that marked the beginning of structured dialogue on gender equality in Kosovo.

In her book, she also highlights my 26-year journey supporting women in business, as the founder of the first women entrepreneurs’ association in Kosovo, reflecting long-term commitment, challenges, and impact in advancing women’s economic empowerment.

This book stands as an important testimony of our shared history, international cooperation, and the vital role women played in rebuilding society after the war.

A session in brought together dedicated professionals staff from the Centers for Social Work to strengthen their skills in Social Mentoring.
Through interactive discussions and case-based exercises, participants explored practical tools for empowering women and supporting vulnerable groups in their communities.

This activity is part of the “Empowerment of Vulnerable Women through Social Mentoring” program, financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by in cooperation with SHE-ERA.

A training session on Social Mentoring was held in with the staff of the Centers for Social Work.
The focus was on building practical skills to support women and vulnerable groups, while enhancing inter-institutional cooperation for more effective implementation of mentoring.

This training is part of the “Empowerment of Vulnerable Women through Social Mentoring” program, financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by in cooperation with SHE-ERA.

Zhvillimi/Hartimi i standardit të profesionit të “Mentorit Social” Niveli i V-te i KKK-së

Ne kuader te projektit ‘Fuqizimi i grave te cenueshme nepermjet te Mentorimit Social’ jane organizuar 2 punetori me ekspert te fushes per diskutimin dhe finalizimin e hartimit te standardit te profesionit te Mentorit Social.

Standardi i profesionit, ka të bëjë me vendosjen e një standardi të kërkesave për fusha specifike të punës. Supozohet të jetë i lidhur me ofrimin e trajnimit në fushën përkatëse për të zhvilluar njohuritë, shkathtësitë dhe kompetencat e fuqisë punëtore në profesionin përkatës. Synimi është të sigurohet që shkathtësitë dhe kompetencat e fuqisë punëtore te përmbushin kërkesat e industrisë. Procesi i zhvillimit të standardeve të profesionit është një konsensus social rreth njohurive shkathësive dhe komptencave të kërkuara në fusha të ndryshme. Standardet e profesionit supozohet të jenë rezultate të matshme të performancës për çdo profesion. Standardet ofrojnë bazë për zhvillimin e programeve arsimore si dhe për vlerësim dhe certifikimin (përfshirë certifikimin e njësive më të vogla të kualifikimeve).

Standardet e profesionit janë ngusht të ndërlidhura dhe bazohen në sistemin e klasifikimit të profesioneve. Sistemet e klasifikimit të profesioneve krijohen zakonisht për të mbuluar të gjitha profesionet në ekonomitë vendore në të cilën puna kryhet me pagesë ose fitim, duke reflektuar struktura profesionale të ekonomisë. Klasifikimet e profesionit përdoren nga agjencitë qeveritare, industria, punëdhënësit, studentët, punëkërkues etj. Duke pasur parasysh këto përkufizime, skemat e klasifikimit të profesioneve janë përpjekje për të organizuar vende pune në grupe diskrete bazuar në ngjashmëritë e tyre si të përcaktuara nga parimet e klasifikimit të skemës (p.sh. niveli i aftësisë, lloji i aftësisë, etj.).

Gjate dy punetorive te organizuara me 28 dhe 30 tetor 2025 se bashku me ekspertët e fushës u prezantua drafti i standardit të profesionit – Mentor Social, punuar nga ekspertët e fushës dhe eksperti Teknik i procesit përmes analizës funksionale. Ekspertet e fushes kane komentuar, diskutuar, kritikuar apo sygjeruar funksionet, aktivitetet, kompetencat dhe paisjet e listuara për realizimin e suksesshëm të profesionit të specialistit të Mentorit social.
Përmes dy punëtorive të organizohuara së bashku eshte bere verifikimi i përmbajtës së këtij standardi, eshte përmirësuar cilësia e standardit dhe eshte ndërlidhe drejtëpërsëdrejti me kërkesat e industrisë.

Projekti “Fuqizimi i Grave të Cenueshme përmes Mentorimit Social” është financuar nga Ministria Federale Gjermane për Bashkëpunim Ekonomik dhe Zhvillim (BMZ) dhe zbatuar me mbështetjen e Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

As part of the Regional Mobility component of the project “Empowerment of Vulnerable Women through Social Mentoring” within the framework of the Regional Mobility initiative, five informative sessions were organized in Pejë and Prizren, bringing together youths, representatives of the Centers for Social Work, Employment Offices, Vocational Training Centers, municipalities and civil society organizations.

The sessions focused on regular migration, regional labor mobility, and social inclusion, helping participants understand the importance of safe, informed, and rights-based mobility for individuals and communities.

Through open discussions, participants exchanged experiences, identified local challenges, and proposed concrete steps to improve coordination between institutions and community actors in supporting regular migration pathways and decent employment.

As a result, a shared commitment emerged to continue cooperation for enhancing regional mobility, inclusive labor markets, and community resilience.

As part of the Regional Mobility component of the project “Empowerment of Vulnerable Women through Social Mentoring,” three local civil society organizations were selected following a mapping process of community actors:
🔹 Activism Roots (Gjakova) – promoting cross-border cooperation with Albania
🔹 Rinon (Ferizaj) – focusing on the border region with North Macedonia
🔹 House of Innovation (Istog) – strengthening cooperation with Montenegro

A dedicated training brought these organizations together to build capacities on regular migration, regional labour mobility, and social inclusion, empowering them to promote safe, informed, and rights-based mobility at the community level.

The training combined policy insights with practical tools for awareness-raising and outreach to job seekers, youth, and vulnerable groups.

🤝 As a key outcome, the three organizations jointly signed a Letter of Commitment to collaborate in advancing regional mobility, employment opportunities, and social inclusion across border areas.
