Siva Mamana, End of Year Showcase, 2025
📆 Friday, December 12th
📍 Le Manumea Hotel
A night of siva, performance and celebration of Samoan culture, language and history. Each showcase is unique, but this one was special. With over fifty students performing, we filled the stage (and the grass) of and shared stories, through siva (dance) and pese (song), of our environment. Rarely do you feel mana such as this.
Our hearts couldn’t be fuller, or prouder. It takes a team to get our students here. It takes their own love and committment to perform it on the night. As always, Siva Mamana flourishes on community.
With the greatest love for all our students and families, especially those who are leaving our shores and returning home, or beginning adventures elsewhere. Home is always here. Siva you can take with you as a postcard from Samoa.

Siva Mamana Showcase, Term 2, 2025
Brave, grounded, practiced. Historically, a warrior’s weapon (nifo oti) would be lit to signal and celebrate defeat only after the brutality of battle and war. For our students, the glory and excitement of performing with fire is only ever given after many hours of practice.
Time and context changes, but the cultural essence remains the same.

Siva Mamana Showcase, Term 2, 2025
Tutors & Tama’ita’i. To be a true Tama’ita’i Samoa, one must strike a balance between grace, humility and strength. We are blessed within our siva community to be surrounded with tama’ita’i that navigate this divide so well.
Featured here are some of our dedicated tutors (Elisapeta, Andrea & Victoria) and a few of our treasured tama’ita’i students.

SIVA MAMANA - What does it mean?
In its simplest translation it can be broken down as dance (siva) powerful (mamana). Thinking more deeply, however, Siva Mamana encapsulates the strength gained through dance; the strength established through a connection to ancestors and land, to history, to language and storytelling.
To know one’s culture and traditional foundations, is to know one’s self. Fa’a Samoa is our way-finder to the past, to the present, and to the future.

Siva Afi is the dance of warriors, inspired by the goddess Nafanua, carried down and transformed through generations 🔥
Pictured here are some of our Siva Afi students taking on the challenge of, not only performing with fire, but dancing to represent the talent, endurance and diversity of children across Samoa.
Fa’afetai tele lava to for sponsoring our costumes, now and in past performances as well. Siva Mamana thrives on the love of others and yours is so deeply appreciated. features a beautiful range of clothing and accessories, be sure to check them out!

Opening Ceremony for the Pacific Early Childhood Development Forum, 2025
This week, Samoa hosted the 2025 Pacific Early Childhood Development Forum. Held on our shores for the first time, the forum engaged over 170 participants from 15 Pacific Island nations. Throughout the week, delegates and ministers facilitated discussions centred around topics such as education, community, environment, health and wellness, all with one shared purpose - to ensure every child in our Pasefika region is nurtured, protected and empowered.
Students from Siva Mamana were invited to perform for the opening ceremony on Monday. Incorporating Siva Samoa and Siva Afi, the children drew upon traditional knowledge to demonstrate how talented and fierce our Pasefika tamaiti truly are. Through their movements, they shared a story of what it is to be a child of Samoa; of a nation rich in language, traditions, people, culture and environment.
Children are the foundation for progress, for growth and for a brighter future ahead. As the future leaders and creators of our Blue Pacific, we must cherish them dearly.
