The Vanuatu Qualifications Authority Management and Staff would like to extend their condolences to late Mr. Sam’s family and the many colleagues and friends who worked closely with him.

In August 2007, Mr. Sam started working with the Vanuatu National Training Council (VNTC), now known as the Vanuatu Qualifications Authority, as the Accreditation Officer.
In January 2011, Mr Sam was appointed as the VNTC Quality Assurance Officer (Formal Training).

When VQA was established in 2014, late Sam continued to devote himself to the quality of the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) sector.

In 2020, Mr Sam was appointed as Principal Officer of the VQA External Quality Assurance Division.

Late Sam has devoted most of his time serving VQA, in ensuring the quality education of the PSET sector is maintained.

Late Sam has highly contributed to the development of VNTC as well as VQA, in terms of course accreditation, provider registration, quality assurance, policy development, competency standards development, assessment and moderation, auditing, evaluation and monitoring, and qualifications development.

Mr Sam Samuel was a high valued member of the VQA team for more than 10 years. His presence and wisdom will be dearly missed.

Friends, family, and colleagues are welcome to pay their respects to Mr Sam at his home, at Club Hippique, until tomorrow.

VQA launches recognition services for uncertified workers As of yesterday, uncertified skilled workers can now apply for a recognized qualification through two recognition services applications made possible by the Vanuatu Qualifications Authority (VQA).
