The IELTS speaking test can be really scary!

Here are 4 tips to help you get through it:
1: Keep it simple.
2: Go into the test with some useful, general vocabulary.
3: Extend your answers.
4: Say what you know.

It can be stressful when the examiner asks you a question that you don't know the answer to. Just remember, you are not being tested on how much you know, you are being tested on how you speak.

Here's an example of two answers. One is excellent the other is not so good. See if you can tell which is which.

1: "I don't have too much experience in this area, but if I had to guess I would say that education is the area that we should focus on because children are the future of our country."

2: "Oh, I don't know. Can you please ask me another question (starts crying)"
